THE INTAKE INTERVIEW
I always do an intake interview on our first visit. Information
is gathered, including family and medical history, and whatever else is
necessary.
I'll explain hypnosis, answer your questions, and address your concerns.
SETTING GOALS
Together, we'll identify a specific, attainable goal - focused on an area
that you feel needs improvement. We'll create positive suggestions to
be introduced to your subconscious mind.
THE INDUCTION
An induction is an exercise to help you relax physically
and mentally. There are many types of inductions. The more you experience
hypnosis, the faster the induction can help you reach the hypnotic state.
A typical induction can last from 10-30 minutes.
THE SESSION
The type of Hypnosis used in our session will depend on our interview
and the goal you are seeking:
If we've established goals, I'll talk directly to your subconscious.
I'll introduce the agreed upon positive suggestions to begin
change or modify habits. During this kind of session you will interact
little, if at all.
If the problem is unknown to us, I will direct you to it by using
your feedback. We'll use "yes or no" questions to which you
respond verbally or nonverbally (by raising a finger or nodding your
head).
Some times an interactive "talk" session can be beneficial.
We'll converse while you are in a relaxed state.
EMERGING FROM TRANCE
Hypnosis is a wonderful, relaxing state. When you emerge from trance,
you will remember everything, be refreshed and rejuvenated.
REVIEW/SUGGESTIONS
At the end of a session, you will probably have comments for me - what
you liked or enjoyed about the process; what got in the way. I'll note
these, so our subsequent sessions will be even more powerful.
